Anyone have frame sliders on their SV? I'm thinking of going with the Intuitive "Pro" frame sliders because rather than the standard ones that mount to tabs on the frame, the "Pro" versions bolt through a stronger part of the frame with a bolt that goes all the way across. I've heard that the others could result in frame damage on even minor falls.

Any thoughts?

BTW, Parts411.com is the best price I've found so far at around 72 + 8 shipping. (retail around $90)

yeah, get the pros. i have the regular ones and a stupid mistake (tip over) scratched up my fairing some. the pros aren't guaranteed to protect the fairing, but it's longer so it's got a better chance.

if you're going with intuitive, check out these new ones:
http://www.bikesliders.com/

the guy just started selling them and although they're a little bit more expensive, they have replaceable delrin pucks and a lifetime guarantee on them. i might sell my regular sliders and get these instead.

Thanks! Yeah, I saw those when I was searching, but don't really like them. I know it should be more about function, but man, I think I'd rather have scratched fairings!

hey, $9.22 equals about 11 Taco Bell tacos with grade D beef. That's like 2 days worth of food!! Or you can spend it all at once for two venti overpriced caramel machiatto from starbucks.
