I'm the gang of Google, snatched from another forum.

Hi all,
I ordered a 2009 black Steet Triple back in May. At the time the dealer said he didn't know the price for the 2009 model.

I got a call a few days ago - my Street Triple is in. I asked the dealer for an invoice which lists the following:

Freight: $450
Uncrating/inspection/Prep. : $200
Doc Fee Unit 1: $125
2009 Street Triple: $8,699

Other items like registration, belly pan, flyscreen, visor, etc are also listed with price for each for a total out-the-door price of $10,860.

My question for you is, is this a fair price? Also, is it standard for the dealers to charge so much for freight and prep?

Any input would be appreciated.

In any event I can't wait to get the bike!
