Thoughts from Triumph riders, old and new? How many people thought about buying a Triumph this year and did or didn't, and why?

I only know of one friend that sold his, I test rode one for half a ride, and I don't know anyone personally that bought one. I have seen a few more badass rat-rods that have been for sale around the area though.

on the internet you can be anyone you want, it's strange that so many people choose to be so stupid

To this day I regret not buying a 675 when I had the chance....They just look like so much fun...feel so narrow, and the motor makes that kickass whining noise.

I'm betting that a lot of that has to do with the new Thinderbird. They sold out pre-orders on that bike and it has been hot ever since. When your numbers are not huge to start with, a spike like that will add up to reasonable % gains...

and I'm guessing the T-Bird crowd is not the typical demographic you ride with...just a thought

I have had a couple Triumphs and I really like/liked them both. I still have a Street Triple that is a blast to ride. A great choice if you are looking for something different than the Japanese bikes, but don't want to pay Italian bike prices.

The Thunderbird is one of the few cruisers I have seen that I would consider buying, just because it's NOT a Harley, and I have had great success mechanically with both Triumphs I've owned.

I've owned a speed triple...great bike and regret selling it. I only put 18k miles on it before I sold it too. Not a problem with the bike mechanically.

Love those dual headlights and single sided swing arm.

I love the Speed Triple and the 675.
If I wasn't such a squid I'd have a Triple.

I really like some of their bikes but have yet to have a chance to ride one. I like the Street Triple if I didnt have a thing against payments I would be all over that bike.

I've got an '09 speed triple. First bike (yes, i know. crazy, stupid, whatever) so i have nothing to compare it to, but I love it.

What made me buy it? Well mostly styling. Originally I was going to get a street triple but I got a great deal on this one. I researched a lot before deciding on the Street. Couldn't find any real nay sayers out there and reliablility seemed to be pretty high. I love the bugeyes and the haunchy look of it. To me it's like a two wheeled muscle car, if the UK had ever made any.

I wish they'd modernize the thruxton a little, like norton did with the commando, USD forks and beef it up a little, because I love the look of the Thruxton, but it felt really budget to me when i rode one, and I'd love a throwback with some modern touches...until then, Triumphs are great, but I just can't spend my money on em, I'd rather grab a Ducati sport classic

Confusing the issue, since before you were ugly.
