Looking for a good deal on an R6? Where did everyone get their 6's from and for how much?

Good lord, man. Expect to pay 8-9 OTD.

Again, support your local dealer. It will pay off in the long run.

My bad man. Damn, you're everywhere. I'm trying to get an idea of a couple of things before my buddy and I go and purchase our bikes. I believe you said don't play games with the dealers but do the research so you know what you'll accept and what you won't (something to that effect). Who better to educate me with REAL OTD prices than people who have actually bought recently?

You're absolutely right. Just helping to make it an easy process....expect anywhere from 8-9 OTD. Simple as that

Best of luck in your search.

PS....You can get it for less, but do you really want to?

I bought an 05 R6 (Raven) at Valley and got that for 8300 all said and done OTD (I put a considerable amount into that so I didn't finance much). I did not have to ask for any hook ups either and they were really good to deal with, the guy I spoke to was "Timmy".

One thing I recommend is getting pre-approved or bring cash...that helps a great deal.

I went to Colemans and they wanted 9700 for the exact same bike...needless to say that was with a 500 discount too! Since my wife and I bought our 04 R6s there.

Try Valley or Romney in WV to start. Just ask them for their price, if you try to bargain and bring the price down they may not take you seriously.

Good luck... 05 R6 is an incredible bike!

You might wanna try the woodbridge coleman's Jtatooz works there as a saleswoman. I'm sure she'd give you a fair deal.

Romney is all out of 6's. They're getting a red one in soon though (but I want the blue). I called Valley and they said that they're selling them for around $8400 so MSRP. Romney is selling the GSXR 750 for $8395 though so I'm extremely undecided. I'm leaning towards the R6 but that price on the 750 is nice.

Is this your first bike? 750 is nice but I wouldn't recommend it as a first bike.

This is the first bike that I've ridden for three years. I used to ride a '95 CBR but I gave it up when I got married. I want to start riding again.

If that's the case, I'd go with the 750...I briefly got to ride on Brooks 05 750 and it was impressive. The throttle is smooth as ice and the bike is extremely well balanced. The 05 R6 is a great bike as well so either bike you can't go wrong...except the 750 has a smoother throttle and of course more power.

Good luck on your choice!

NEVER BUY A BIKE AT COLEMANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!
Never
Never
Nehverr

They f'ing quoted me 10,500 OTD for a 05 R6 raven

Here are the cash quotes I got.

Coleman $9k
Champion $8700
Valley $8600
Romney $7600
Cycle sport (alexandria route 1) no one ever goes there. He said he'd match my Romney quote of $7600 (but I had already bought). They have some in stock. I was there yesterday.

Honestly, the ride back from romney is worth the $1000 plus its a great ride on the way back!!! Perfect for breaking in the bike.

I just want to thank everyone for their tips and advise. I put my deposit down on an R6 from Cycle Sport. I'm getting it for $7850 before TTT. Thanks again everyone.
