07 R6....back in the Yamaha Family!! - September 19, 2014, 08:57 AM

Did the Kawasaki thing for the last year after writing off my 09 R6. Enjoyed the 08 Kawi but it just never felt right so I sold it last weekend and picked up an 07 R6 last night for a great price.

...and of course the most important one......new baby meeting the new baby.

Happy to be back on an R6!!!

Only 'complaint' (if you can call it that) is that it is set up for GP shifting so I have to get used to that. If that is the worst I will live.

Umayr,

I have to agree. I did not know how good I had it until I did not have an R6. Suddenly riding is even more fun that it already was.

Don't change it. It shouldn't take too long to become acustommed to it, and if you ever decide to track it (which you should!) it will pay dividends big time.

Not changing it.....I am getting used to it. Right now I still have to think about it when I am changing gears quickly but so far so good.

Got it cheap.........think the fact that it had been dropped was part of the reason he sold it so cheap.

Already fixed part of the fair with a little sand paper and some bondo. Once I get the other part of the fairing down and do a little repair work on the headlight housing you will never know it was down.
