'08 Silver R6... looks ? - January 27, 2008, 05:11 PM

So one of the coolest parts of my new job is getting to unload truckfulls of new '08 bikes, open the crates and build them. Its kinda like Christmas.

Got a Silver '08 R6 on thursday and got to uncrating it. Not a bad looking bike. I actually like that older style headlights, but the new ones are growing on me.

I'm usually a fan of silver bikes. I used to have a Liquid silver R1 and my current TL is silver.

But the wheels yuck! faded bronze and silver don't work!
I actually thought they shipped the bike with the wrong wheels. I had to double check the website.

I'm sure that someone will come in and rave about how much they LOVE that look. I will preempt that with "your WRONG"

Come by and take a look the bike is still on the sales floor at Loudoun MS.

If they had made many of the other parts the same colour as the wheels it would look much better... but they have powercoat black and aluminum with silver paint... then the random faded bronze wheels.

I still think the bike is hot. We'll see if they truly did enough to help the bike out enough this year.

My roommate has an 08 r6 in black. The bike is fuckn SICK!!!! it also has the same color wheels, They look better on black. He has had the bike to the track twice since he got it and says it is just an awesome bike. Great power and handles like it is on a rail.

Now, if I were Yao, I'd post some completely unrelated video after I insulted the bike, but I'm not, so.....I'll say it's a nice looking bike. I wouldn't spend money on it, but it looks nice.

Seeing as I never wash my wheels, they end up being that same color anyway! I want one. It's been 4 years... I think I'd like an upgrade.

It's a Yamaha. Saying something insulting about it would be like picking on the kids who ride the short bus.

Bitter much? I'm sorry that Yamaha makes sexy bikes and Suzuki makes ugly shit.

Yep. That's why Suzukis are #1 on the stolen motorcycle list - cause everyone thinks Suzukis are ugly. I can't help that your opinion on bikes is in the minority.

Most likely to be stolen
  1. Suzuki GSX-R Series
  2. Yamaha YZF Series
  3. Honda CBR Series
  4. Suzuki Hayabusa
  5. Kawasaki Ninja Series
Most likely to be crashed
  1. Suzuki GSX-R Series

Yep, most often stolen and crashed. Can't help it that Suzuki people are stupid... unlike Yamaha riders who can afford their own garage

Okay, WikipediYao - find me that statistic on garages. Then try sticking to the discourse; crashing is insignificant. If Suzukis were ugly as you suggest, then I imagine, locked in a garage or not, they wouldn't be stolen.

Oh, and I can't argue regarding the stupidity of Suzuki owners, since we're stupid enough to associate with Yamaha owners.....

And....you smell funny!
