The '74 Yamaha I've been working on - October 7, 2008, 05:19 AM

1974 Yamaha TX500, picked up with 644 original miles and the original 1975 title.

I've rebuilt the carbs, front brakes, restored the outer rim on both wheels, installed 'clubman' bars, and removed the rear fender for an LED taillight.

This week it goes to RnR for tires and a once over.

And here she is when I picked her up.

Ahhhhhh...the TX500. I had one. My old boss had a TX650. If I'm not mistaken it either was the first or one of the first with a counterbalance on the crankshaft.

I'm rocking those same front turn signals. If you find some better ones, let me know. I feel like kicking mine off.

I think the XS500c started with the CB shaft (also the single piece head), but I could be mistaken.

I feel the same way; I'll probably just take them off all together.
