Anyone else think the stock headlight SUCKS?! Even on highbeam i find it to be terrible. Could a weak battery cause this? I know it's aimed correctly.

I've had two. a 2000 and now a 2001. The headlight isn't all too great.

a higher wattage bulb made it better but it still wasn't all too great.

Some bikes have great lights and some suck.

My BMW has terrible headlights and one is a projection. Go figure

I've honestly never had a problem w/the light on mine. It's definitely not as bright and over powering as the more modern bikes, but it never affected my night riding. You have to be careful putting in a higher wattage bulb or putting in those hyper white bulbs. They burn so much brigher and hotter than stock, that I had a problem w/the wire harness melting right where it attached to the bulb, so be careful w/that.

When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane!
