Hi all,
So I had to drill out a fairing screw/bolt on my 02 R6 trying to take the damn thing off.... Throughout the process I kept telling myself I'd like to kill the MuthaFawker who decided it would be a great idea to use screw heads on bolts designed to take some serious torque... Either way, as I was buying a replacement screw I noticed that on 03-and on R6s Yama switched to allen wrench head design for their fairing bolts. So, I got to thinking and after some research it looks like the new allen head bolt should be a direct replacement for the crappy phillips head bolts.
On this note, does anyone know where I can get a set or a fairing bolt kit for the 03-05 R6s? A guy at the dealership said he's seen those around for about $40. Does anyone else know? Thanks!

I'd give ronayers.com a call. They have OEM stuff for good prices.

Yeah, I'd say buy a good amount of 'em just because the lowest shipping cost is like $7. The bolts are gonna prob'ly be less than a buck, so just make it worth your while...

I have........ no bike.
