Ive noticed that some non OEM brands of oil filters have the same part #s for R6 and R1 oil filters. Anyone know if the OEM's are interchangeable also?

My understanding is that they are all the same now, w/the exception of the Kawi's, thus Yamaha=Suzuki=Honda. Check w/Nick at Champion, or Rick at FastLane, as they know for sure.

take your chances if you want... i'll stick to using suzuki filters on all 4 of our suzukis... let honda's be honda's and yammi's be yammi's the manufacture's filter is the one i'll use and recomend to everyone. if you've ever seen a filter come apart you'll understand.

You used a Air filter for your oil filter? Wow, I gotta try that.
