thundercat...track weapon? - April 14, 2006, 03:20 PM

i own an 04 yzf600r and i used to think it was too heavy, and down on power. but the more miles i put on it, the more it's capabilities reveal themselves to me. i'm tellin' you, i can shred this bike!

Goes to show its the rider not the bike. Although Id be very hesitant to say that an 04 yzf600 is that much underpowered or heavy, I roll a 98 zx6r and keep up with the newest of 600 at the track, except twards the end of the straights where they will pull away a bit.

Hell I use to keep up with my friends on a '86 FZ600 when they were rolling 99GSXR 600s.

Flog that motherfaker!

As an amateur or just track day weapon...it's more the rider than the bike. But that bike will definately be a limiting factor due to hp. JMO
