What's the difference? *NEW QUESTION* - May 31, 2006, 07:51 AM

...between
YZF-R1 2002 (P) YZF-R1
YZF-R1 2002 (PC) YZF-R1

http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/getyea...&groupid=31910

I'm looking at the microfiche layout and I see no difference. Is there anything I need to be aware of before ordering a subframe? I have no idea what that P or PC stands for.

advice? input? insults? all welcome!

yo bro, look on your owners manual it will tell you what you have, they make different models sometiems CA has there own model for emissions, I think the subframe should be the same though, but if you were ordering electronics it might be different, anything structural should be the same across the board

OK, another question:

Do R6 subframes fit on R1's? And if so, what model years are compatible?!

No, they dont.

Here is a good resource for you though: (you have to register to download.)
http://yzf-r1forum.net/manuals/index.html

also look at
http://yzf-r1forum.net/info.html

Don't print out the manuals unless you have like 500 pages of paper and a couple 3 ring binders to put it all in.

Subframes for 03-05 R6's are cheaper at Flat Out Motorsports new than they are on eBay, usually. BTW, check it out: http://flatoutmotorcycles.com/ Usually 5-10% cheaper than RonAyers on most things on the fiche.
