Just a reminder to all members about the last rule on the site:

No advertising.

No advertising of other for-pay services, websites, shops, and so forth unless specifically granted by the DCSportbikes.net owner. For more information please send a note to Rob (ClemsonJeeper).

This means if you are trying to do "side work" for pay for services that a .net advertiser does (oil changes, safety wire, maintenance, fabrication, etc), it is not permitted to advertise for this without specific permission.

We have had several shops that pay for advertising here complain regarding these "side work" threads, and I can understand their point of view.

If this applies to you, I would be glad to work with you to bring you online as an official .net advertiser for your business - shoot me a PM.

No but Stillie does!

So Rob, Since Coleman and Colgan both sell bikes, doesn't that mean that no one can sell their bike here either? Is the same thing. You can buy a great bike for MUCH cheaper than you can at a dealership but since it's basically the same thing, should that not apply too?

It's not the same thing. You're comparing private sale to retail. Dissimilar markets. While you pay more at a dealership, it's understood that the dealer is assuming some sort of liability with the sale. With private sales, it's caveat emptor.
