Yes it is the web but we do have social gatherings that bring .net together so remember if you can't say it in person don't say it here.
I am just as big an ahole in person.

There are some cool things about pre-internet days:

1. You said things in person (face to face)
2. You settled things in person (fist to face)
3. You shook hands (face to face) when making a deal
4. Your reputation was established (face to face)
5. Your reputation was modified (face to face)

"The Google" is good but it can't replace 1 through 5.

lets not forget courting (boobs to face).
But in seriousness, I agree on what Mike said, the forum is not the 5th dimention, if you are an ass on it (not talking about sarcasm, not talking about weird sense of humor, I'm talking about assiness) you will probably be the same in person, and if you do have this deep difference in personality between the two I'm sure Widow can point you in the right direction for help.
You don't have to like everyone, and not everyone will like you, but don't go out of your way to prove the point that "I am how I am and I will not change for anyone so f u if you don't like me"

Have not seen you since CCS round at N.J. Since then my opinion of you has changed a lot. You piss on my threads and posts and I returned the favor and you get bent! I doubt you would say many of the things you have on the web to the people in person.

I'm with dodge. I mean, if someone wants to be a jerk, they should just be a jerk all the time. That's something I can respect. However, I don't buy into this stuff where someone deliberately posts things to piss other people off and when there's a negative response, the antagonist acts all surprised and says basically, "Hey lighten up, it's the internet and you shouldn't take it so serious." That's just an excuse people hide behind to be PITAs. It's also obnoxious because the antagonist antagonizes and then tries to blame the responder for getting upset. Like, "It's not my fault you get upset when I say I'm going to come to your house and shoot you." Some people actually think this is a form of rational thought, and it's a sad state of affairs.

You live more in five minutes on a bike like this going flat out than some people live in a lifetime.
