@msn.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com - problems - May 7, 2009, 07:47 PM

so at work with a firewall and on a T1 line (I'm assuming) i can use my @msn.com email.

I get home (wireless with no firewall) I try to log into my @msn.com email and it redirects me (and actually forces) me to create and log in using a new @live.com email account.

apparently there are TONS of ppl who are extremely unhappy with this. I am kinda too because if I can't get into my "old" @msn.com account, then I have (with no prior warning) lost ALL of my contacts, saved emails, etc etc

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows something about it. Cuz I was on my @msn.com email at work no more than 3 hours ago...now I can't get on it at home.

I believe microsoft has been migrating their stuff to "live" accounts for a while. You shouldn't lose anything.

What page do you sign in to?

When I go to www.hotmail.com I get redirected to

http://login.live.com/login.srf?wa=w...4855&mkt=en-US

The login requires @something. I use @hotmail.

It probably requires that because it could be @msn.com, @hotmail.com, or @live.com, if you catch my drift.

give it a try
