19.8 mph on GPS today - January 14, 2008, 01:19 PM

Fresh batteries in the Garmin, Blu & I headed out to an open field for some frisbee.

Little did he know I brought along a large t-shirt and stuffed the gps in it, wrapping it around his neck and tied it securely. He thought it was a little strange but after about 5 seconds he was fine. We had headwinds, crosswinds and tailwinds. Cold temps with wet grass. He wasn't as in to it because there was no dog or person to chase. I would say he was giving it about 80-85%. I let him warm up before we started capturing peak mph.

After a few passes I had him pull over and checked GPS:

Not too shabby. I figure with drier conditions and another dog to motivate him we will see him smash the 25 mph barrier. I should have had him carb load the night before but this was ad hoc, 1st GPS test so I was only going for a baseline figure.

LMFAO...just wait V...Stage 2 testing will begin in 1 week. Carb loading, 1 lb fur reduction, and a Maltese as bait.

A few other things to try

1) have him work on his aerodynamic crouch to cut down on wind resistance
2) try a different fuel blend
3) add the bio form of NOS, maybe feed him beans the morning of the next run

The damned dog is a better mouser than the cat. And she (the dog) has already eaten a flying squirrel in one gulp. Little bastard dog.
