Govplace is seeking a Security Solution Architect to join our team. The selected candidate will support the team in a presales capacity, working with our inside and outside teams identify opportunities for enterprise cyber security solutions. This will include documentation of customer requirements, helping to build solutions for our customers, supporting proposal efforts, and acting as a subject matter expert at customer meetings.

Govplace is a rapidly growing government technology integrator. We leverage performance based contracting to develop enterprise data center efficiency solutions exclusively for the public sector. Our success leveraging multiple contract vehicles to capture projects and programs has helped us secure market share inside agencies including Homeland Security, Health and Human Services, and Veterans Affairs.

The Solution Architect will:
• Be responsible for developing and farming the pipeline for cyber security solutions at Govplace, both as an overlay to the sales team, and as an individual contributor.
• Assess existing client cyber security environments and develop security solutions to meet their current requirements plus future growth and functionality needs.
• The Solution Architect’s work will include developing the Bill of Material for sales quotes, solution sizing and analysis, building system configurations, implementation plans, transition approaches and all aspects required to create a proposal and the details plans for implementation.
• The Solution Architect will be participate directly or manage others in the implementation of cyber security solutions. On complex implementations, the Solution Architect may be the SME who performs the work; on other implementations they may provide oversight to other consultants.
• Time will be invested with key clients in establishing a true “trusted advisor” relationship.
• The Solution Architect will develop and/or provide final review/approval of artifacts that define the architecture of the solution.
• The Solution Architect will demonstrate the ability to synthesize information on solution design, establish architectural principles, and apply industry standards to system architectures that meet client requirements.
• Review and validate project artifacts, solution designs, estimates and sizing data for quality, accuracy, completeness and adherence to the original requirements and design parameters.
• Provide mentoring and team leadership to other architects and developers and freely share expertise and knowledge with peers.

The following skills for the position are required:
• Strong client consulting skills, both oral and written communications (evidence of authoring comprehensive security architectural solutions, both high level executive oriented and functional implementation oriented).
• Expert level experience with a wide breadth of cyber security solutions.
• Recent, strong experience in continuous monitoring and/or cyber forensics solutions.
• Recent, strong experience with cyber security technologies from McAfee, RSA, Splunk, and emerging security technologies.
• Architecture design and implementation of advanced cyber security solutions.
• Expert level knowledge of FISMA and FedRAMP compliance requirements.
• Expert level knowledge of emerging threat vectors and related solutions.
• Knowledgeable in cloud solution architecture and the unique cyber security needs of cloud solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in leading projects, implementation teams and clients in security assessment services, requirements gathering, solution implementations, and testing.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Existing/valid CISSP, (ISC)2, Security+, ISACA, CEH, GIAC, or comparable certification.
• Existing or recent federal agency EOD or clearance.

 Specify, prioritize and communicate product specifications using written specifications, business rules, flows
and use cases as well as user experience generated deliverables such as prototypes, wireframes and design
and copy documents.
 Manage partner relationships, identifying third-party features; evaluating and selecting vendors, negotiating

 Successfully developed, executed and managed a cloud or IT managed service offering.
 Effectively lead, manage, develop, coach, mentor and educate a team of sales, engineering and program
personnel spanning a vast range of skill sets and level of experiences.
 Established successful financial model delivering IT-as-a-Service that both managed risk and drove
 Must be a strong communicator and presenter, comfortable selling at the C-level within agencies, and
