2007 Redskins first round draft predictions - April 27, 2007, 09:36 AM

I'll go on record. I think we'll trade down for an addition 2 or 3 and either Jamaal Anderson or Adam Carriker.

What do you think?

Skins pick will

1) hold out for a larger signing bonus

2) be pencilled in as a first year starter

3) dissapoint for the first 5 games

4) get injured and ride out his contract as he fades away over the nextr 2 years

5) be worth nothing in trade value

6) catch on as a free agent with a NFC rival

7) have 3 Pro Bowl years with said rival....

no way are they trading up....maybe down for more picks if Quinn is still avb at the 6 spot...They need more picks...shopping Springs for a shot at #2 is just short sighted...

I'll go on record too.

The skins will SUCK hard again this year. Play a great game until 3rd quarter and then throw it away for no reason!!

The skins will do something stupid with their first round pick as usual.

1) pick up Gaines Adams or Jamaal Anderson

2) trade up to get Calvin Johnson

Which is it HotRod? Draft "best available" DE or trade up?

They'd be wise to trade down for more picks and try to mitigate the draft pick foolishness of the past few years. Don't think the Lance Briggs deal is dead though. Snyder loves his big names.

Whatever happens, I wouldn't expect much of them this season - 2nd year QB - myriad of disappointments on offense and defense.

Thankfully, I'm a Ravens fan... we always draft well.

We don't expect - we hope!

I don't think the LB deal is dead either. They did say that if the Bears came back for the deal the price might change. It was clearly a good deal they should have taken - 16th overall value for a guy that swears he won't play another down for them.

They want to pick up Amobi Okoye in the first round for defensive tackle, however, I think they would be wise to trade down and leverage more picks. If not they will have to wait for round 5 and will probably pick up some cornerback or free safety (can't remember his name). No one can seem to agree... it should be interesting.

I WILL NOT be missing it this year

I'm also going to go on the record to say this... getting another DT to stuff the run is (to me) SLIGHTLY less important than getting the O going. I'm personally kind of surprised they aren't looking for a good fucking TE to dish it out too, someone with feet...

PLUSSSSSSSSSSSSS... I just read that the skins might trade thier 6th overall for the linebacker lance briggs from chicago, and take the 31st overall....

That's my .02

Sure they do....Cooooooooooooooooley!!!

He's not an Antonio Gates......but he's pretty good.

He can break tackles, get open, and good hands.

Cooley not good enough for you?

Cooley is the man, to be sure. They need to do something to take the threat off of Moss.
