I noticed Iron Man is wearing a different armor. It's not the Hulkbuster suit, but it's not the Mark V either. It almost looks like a pared down version of the War Machine armor.

We shall see.

Chris Evans Talks Captain America's The Avengers Costume; Praises Robert Downey Jr.!

Further explaining the differences between Captain America: The First Avenger's costume from The Avengers, ChrisEvans ultimately praises his 'Iron Man' costar!

Chatting with the press for next week's release of Captain America: The First Avenger, the star Chris Evans further compared and contrasted his costume in the film with it's modern version in The Avengers. And ultimately praising his Avengers costar, 'Iron Man' actor Robert Downey Jr., read on what he had to say below!

“They each have pros and cons. This, the first Cap costume, is very cumbersome. It’s thick and it’s bulky, it’s tough to do fight sequences in, but the cowl, the helmet, can come on and off at will. The current wardrobe is a bit different. The suit, the range of motion is fantastic, you can really get some good fight sequences in. It’s a little bit more form-fitting. But the cowl, the hood, has some… changes that make it a little more difficult to get on and off.”

“He’s so great. I can’t say enough about him, I really can’t. I didn’t know what to expect going in to work with him. He’s so talented and he’s got so much charisma and persona. I can honestly say, of all the movie stars I’ve worked with, he’s the one that when he comes on set, you really feel like, ‘Man — this guy’s a movie star!’ You just feel it. When he comes in a room he just owns the oxygen. He is a movie star, and he’s been so great. So supportive, so positive. I had to do a scene with him the other day where I was just nervous, it was just me and him, and I was just terrified. It’s Robert Downey Jr.! And he’s just, you know, every little take he gives you a fist bump, a little thumbs up, and it just changes your whole day. It probably means nothing in his mind but I go back to my trailer, like, giddy. He really is something else.”

Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. With director Joss Whedon at it's helm, and an ensemble cast including Chris Evans (Steve Rogers), Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Chris Hemsworth (Thor Odinson), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff), Clark Gregg (Agt. Phil Coulson), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), with Tom Hiddleston (Loki Laufeyson), and Stellan Skarsgard (Professor Erik Selvig), the film releases worldwide May 4, 2012!

SDCC '11: First Look At The Avengers S.H.I.E.L.D Agents' Uniforms!

UPDATE: Were you wondering what sort of uniforms the S.H.I.E.L.D agents would have in The Avengers? 100% faithful to the comic books or simply shirts and ties? Well, a photo from the floor of Comic-Con reveals their uniforms...
Thanks to the following photo from First Showing, we have our first look at the uniforms of the S.H.I.E.L.D agents set to appear in The Avengers. Taken on the floor of the event at Marvel's booth for the movie (which has been designed to appear as the deck of the Helicarrier) this shows that director JossWhedon and Marvel Studios have gone for something failrly similar to the comics rather than using the shirts and ties look seen in Iron Man and THOR.

SDCC '11: The Avengers Action Figures Reveal Suit Alterations & The Stark Tower?

From the SDCC, official action figures for the "big three" of The Avengers offer a new look at their "new look," displayed in front of artwork depicting the Stark Tower! Check it out!

Coming directly from the San Diego Comic-con convention floor, via ToyArk & the great RimBreaks, six-inch action figures modeled after the "big three" of next summer's highly-anticipated film The Avengers were recently put on display. And while the figures evidently showcase the new look for Captain America, IronMan, and Thor, merchandising artwork displayed behind them may reveal that the famous 'Stark Tower' could make an appearance in the film. Check them out below with more to come.

you can not ask for anything better....

Its funny that Marvel comics created the "Ultimate Universe" somewhat based after how X Men 1 did in theaters. using a more realistic approach....

Ultimate universe comics goes on to outsale there original universe titles (maybe not spiderman).

Then Marvel creates its own movie company, and most of the movies are based on the more realistic, Fox/X_men inspired movie comic book universe....but Marvel did it better.

Im glad they are still getting back towards costumes tho...
Ultimates tried to go totaly face showing no costumes (minus popular ones like spiderman)...that didnt pan out so they tweak the idea and came out with what would almost work as real....

They did take it a bit to far with trying to lose the costumes. Ultimate Universe was a good move overall for Marvel though. DC was kicking their ass for a while because their stories were more 'real'. I think Marvel Knights was the real turning point because it allowed them to experiment and showed just how much of a difference basing things in reality could make. I mean if second and third string characters could suddenly be hot items what would happen if they did the same with their A-List characters.

Good stuff all around.

Yeah, Marvel Knights was Mavels answer to the Vertigo Line.
I can't say I was a fan of the Vertigo serise of books. Marvel knights was good...but im a marvel fan.

Altough the book I collected the most was the Bat Man family of books and offshoots. I have boxes of Bat Man titles. I still follow Bat Man now...just dont buy them. I brought a few of the last big storylines when they turned it into a graphic novel. but even that is about 5-6 years ago now. Im on Comic Book Movie site and they keep you updated on the comic world...

One title im loving is the Uncanny X-Force. Wolverine led black ops squad.
but let me not thread jack.

thread jack away......Uncanny X-Force is one of the best titles. I used to follow all the X titles but there got to be toooooooo many of them and to many alternate things happening.

The Bat books kinda set the standard in terms of depth of story while still being mainstream. The Vertigo stuff was interesting but a little out there to really see much cross over into movies.
