Wink 2013 Aston Martin DB9 Replacement DB10? DB11? - July 11, 2011, 08:25 AM

Spied: 2013 Aston Martin DB9

Spied: 2013 Aston Martin DB9

Hang tight Mr. Bond, your new car is still testing

Aston Martin will reportedly launch six new models over the coming six years, most being evolutionary successors to existing models in the Aston line-up. Some though are all-new, and the most important of these new models, the successor to the DB9, will reportedly arrive in 2013. As our Teamspeed spy-pictures prove, styling will to be traditional Aston, with elements of the Rapide to appear also: the new headlights and the bumper-mounted number plate for example.

All else about the DB9 replacement is unknown. It is understood to be in development under the codename Project VH500, but it remains to be seen whether it will continue with the DB9 name, or skip to DB10 or DB11.

Going to be hard for Aston to top Fisker's iconic DB9/DBS design. Sometimes once you hit "perfect" you're painted into a corner and can only go backwards no matter what you do to update or refresh with new styling.

“Any man who tries to be good all the time is bound to come to ruin among the great number who are not good. Hence a Prince who wants to keep his authority must learn how not to be good, and use that knowledge, or refrain from using it, as necessity requires”.

True...
It is by far the best looking Aston Martin I have ever seen...
But I do think the design can evolve. Its not Perfect and some of the concept art looks and feels all Aston Martin. I didnt post the first review of the new Aston Martin 4 door sport car, but its design is fresher than the DB9/DBS.

yea it has it pluses and minuses with the gear box. I'm not much of a fan of average driving and its jerky shifts. But when you open up the V12 and let it sing the gear box shows it's got what it takes. Seems to be common remarks for flappie paddle cars. I think Ferrari had perfected there flappie paddle gear box and they say its behavior is perfect at all speeds.

I love that car but now I can't buy one because of that one sitting in the garage. Sitting next to it is a Bentley GT. His and Hers....
