Understanding that there was a monetary settlement, and the family wasn't at the hearing. The court may have considered that the victim's actions were a contributing factor...rushing across the causeway to catch a bus. If you've seen the scene, it looks as if the victim jumped a jersey wall into lanes of traffic on a bridge leaving a motorist nowhere to maneuver in the event they couldn't stop.

..the best video I could find of the scene. http://fr.truveo.com/Raw-Video-Stall.../id/4105028297

..but I'm not saying that justice has been served.

Well you gotta remember the hippies don't get all up in arms to make a big deal out of something when it's a person who dies.

Well, I am very glad he is taking full responsibility. Most people are cowards and try to make excuses. As for the money, I'm glad he was able to provide that family with something they can live with. It is sick and sad that a death occurred for such a stupid reason, but it sounds like both sides have come to an agreement without dragging anything out causing more pain and suffering than has already been done. That Dante guy will have to live with this on his conscience for the rest of his life. It will never go away. The family has to deal with the loss of a loved one but, apparently, are going to be able to do so with an undisclosed amount of money.

RIP Greg Walker, I will never forget you

well drunk or not what the hell was a guy doing running across the highway like that?

I mean if it's 3AM in the morning and some dude comes waltzing across 495 I'd probably have a hard time seeing them as well.

look at that video, the guy ran out what looks to be a highway! Ok, he was drinking, but he stopped, he assisted, and took responsibility. Your telling me that none of you have had a few drinks, got in a car? He was doing ten over? reckless? No, he was going slower then I go sober. Shitty out come, but wrong place at the wrong time, for both of them.

I'm glad you posted that video. I wouldn't expect to have a pedestrian run accross that part of a road, either (drunk or not)!
