6 days post-operation - August 19, 2010, 01:50 PM

So I had ACL reconstruction on Friday, been in a world of hurt since. But, pain meds are kicking in and I've started PT this week. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get back out on the bike before the end of the year, maybe in October, but who knows. Good thing is, after this week, I can work from home for the next 3 weeks or so. Sucks seeing the bike in the garage and I cant do anything with it for a while

Forget the bike for the remainder of the year and just focus on PT man.
ACL is no small surgery and the worst thing you can do is push it before it's back up to full strength.

Agree with Heist... The ACL recon is not one you want to rush back from unless you are a pro athelete.. You mess up just a little and back in ya go for round 2..

Yeah, I'm going to take it easy and not push anything. Its a work out just getting up to go to the bathroom. I'm looking forward to getting these staples removed on Monday though

Holy shit. Worse nightmare. Double ACL's and then redone again!

Im not getting anything redone i just never had the left knee reconstructed yet the right knee is the only knee that had work done and its held up fine for a year now and hopefully forever.
