I totally believe it. Living in DC...seeing all the Rideshares all hours of the day and night.

I-66 Express Lanes toll spikes to $46 for Tuesday morning commute - Story | WTTG

Welcome to the double edged sword of variable volume based pricing.

Now luckily 66 isn't on the SE side of the Yellow or Blue line. Why?

Because for the next 3 months, every station South East of Regan Nat'l will be shut down for repairs.

The resulting transit interruption is predicted to put THOUSANDS of extra cars on the road every day during rush hour as commuters who have no other way to get to work or don't have the flexibility to leave earlier / later in order make connector shuttle buses.

Can you imagine the injury to injustice and insult if they hopped on the road only to be met with astronomical and punishing toll surge rate hikes?
