7 hour layover in London. Ideas? - March 4, 2011, 02:12 AM

I have a 7 hour layover in London coming up. Initially I scheduled it as such thinking I will grab a long lunch with a buddy of mine that lives there. Of course I didn't check anything with him and he is out of the country.

Anyway... I did spend about 2 months living in central London so I've done most of the touristy things, but looking for some interesting way to fill the time. Bonus points for being moto related or really unusual. Any ideas?

I would say hit up ACE Cafe but with only 7 hours it would be tight. Goto one of the airport pubs and start drinking.

Same idea. You beat me to it.
7 hours should be more than enough if he's flying into Heathrow or Gatwick. Anything further and he may be a bit pressed.

That's a really good idea, fellow insomniacs. hmmm... I might try to brave the hassle of a 1hr tube ride one way to Ace. (From Heathrow)

7 Hours is tight, especially considering you have to get back in, and through security.

45mins to deboard
1.5 hr tube ride
2 hrs at ACE
1.5 hr tube ride - return
2 hours through security

Close.

I had a 6 hour layover in London a few years back. Not enough time to really do anything especially if you are silly enough to catch the train like I did. Almost missed my connecting flight.
