About my drivers license - August 27, 2008, 08:00 AM

It says it expires on 8/28/08. Does that mean I can still go to the DMV tomorrow and get it renewed or must I go today and get it renewed?

I am off tomorrow.

Do it early, that way, you only have to do the written part. If you let them expire, you'll have to do it ALL over again.
I learned that one the hard way!

the written part? To get my license renewed? I go online and it gives me the option to pay the $45.00 but it takes 7days.

My Bday is tomorrow so I was planning on getting my license renew tomorrow so I can go out and party this weekend lol.

Not true at all. Mine just expired on July 9th and I went in on July 11th to get it renewed. Had to take the eye test again but that's it. Oh and had to re-take the picture.

FYI if you re-new it less than 6 months before it expires, you can do it all on-line...you dont even have to take a new picture. They just send you the new one in the mail! But if yours expires tomorrow then you cant renew online. But just go in to the DMV and it'll take 1/2 hour.

Don't feel bad. I tried to do it on-line too I avoid going to the DMV at all costs!

Oh and if you do get it re-newed AFTER it expires, bring your passport or other proof. Not sure if they require that if it hasn't expired. But since mine had already expired, they required proof that I am who I am.

Good luck!

If it's a VA drivers license that means tomorrow is your b-day right?

If so, Happy Birthday.

DMV express has always been pretty quick about that kind of stuff. it took less than 20 min to get mine renewed.

Maybe VA doesnt have DMV express, tho?
