Talking All Sport - 180Lap Team enduro!!! - October 22, 2010, 07:20 AM

Yesterday we had a Vendor gathering where we listened to a company's sales pitch for an hour and then got going at AllSport!

I was a little worried about the racing, over 50 guys out there, but they organized it well, much props to the guys at AllSport!

There were just over 50 racers, and they broke us out into 10 teams of 5/6. Random draw for teams. Set us out for a 30 minute practice session and qualifying, fastest lap time set by each team set starting grid. We set grid spot 2, which got us on the racing line for turn 1. Was happy with that.

Alot of people left during the race, so some teams were down to 4 or even 3 drivers by the middle of the race, we had 1 driver leave after his first stint of 15 laps, and he was running in the low 30's...

Our team pulled back, I sat for a 50 lap stint, which was absolutely awesome! Pulled our team back to 2nd and still 1 lap behind the leading team, not able to catch them, as they were pretty damn good.

Finished the race in 2nd overall, and set 2nd best lap time, held the best lap time until lap 175, when the 3rd place team driver beat my time by .2... and I sat on the pit wall.

Have to say, this was a great time, and if we can ever organize a large group, say 30 or more to show up for one of these, I highly recommend it! This was an absolute blast!

Wish I had my camera!

Cost: No clue, but broken down to per driver, probably not outrageous.

Low 30's is actually extremely slow. Superkart qualifying is usually in the 24.30 range, depending on track conditions.

Anytime anyone wants to race, let me know.

ask any racer, any real racer, it doesn't matter if you win by and inch or a mile, winning is winning.

Rob next week i think, I will let you know.

to cold to run in the 24.3 range, my best at that track ever is 24.31 and yesterday the best overall was 25.202 (mine being 25.22. we had a team member, that was running 30.100 / 32.000 sssssllllloooooowwwww

All team members had to do a minimum of 15 laps and that is what he did, and then had to leave, so we got him out of the way, but that was also our starting leg... put us in a deficit that was hard to overcome, when the other teams started with the rabbit.
