My only street bike is a suckszuki drz-400 supermoto, I ride around town on it and to work. The last few weeks my riding outfit has been, Shorts, T-shirt, my dainese jacket, full race gloves, and my alpinestar super-techs.

Now my friends all say I look like a crack head with my big ass boots on with shorts. Well they all think the supermoto is pretty silly too, and this kinda is just the icing on the cake. I do get stares from people, I was 81 heading down to harrisonburg, I passed a car doing about 90 and I swear the guy inside was staring at me like I was passing him on a lawnmower.

What do you guys think, shorts and riding boots? A Do or Dont?

Wear what you want to wear... If you fall off with nothing protecting your legs they can graft the skin from your nicely protected upper body.

But then again, not like jeans protect you any better. It's risk versus reward. If I'm going 2 miles down the street ot the store, I'll wear shorts, shirt, tennis shoes... if I'm going on any major highways I'm wearing at least jeans and leather jacket + gloves... If I'm going out balling, I'll wear full leathers.

Ya I was not concerned with the safety issue. I wear my boots cause I know how expensive ankles are to put back together (all those moving parts), what I was asking was for fashion advice. Maybe I will post up a pic tommorow.

Ohh, well in that case as long as you have your tube socks pulled up to your knees, you should be styling just fine

yeah, you might as well be wearing cowboy boots and basketball shorts...style...not so good. I'm no fashion monger, but I know that doesn't work.
