Android Experts : need an app - December 19, 2012, 11:56 AM

I have an Android Tablet that will be plugged in 24/7.
It will be in "sleep" state.

It needs to wake up at the same time every day and run an app (show) for a few hours and then resume sleep state.

The App (show) can be running full time as well and the tablet just needs to wake and sleep at certain times.

Anyone know of a good scheduler type app for this?

Obviously no one is around to swipe the tablet to wake up...

The tablet is part of an art installation

Is it being shown in a trash can? That would be the perfect artistic setting for an Android device.

I believe I used one in the past to kick off a certain app. TaskBomb maybe? It definitely had "bomb" in the title.

Not sure how much time you want to spend or how technically adept you are, but "Tasker" is a pretty powerful little app that lets you program actions relatively easily. Not saying my mother could figure it out, but if you can use excel functions and such, you can probably figure it out.
