Any Car mechanics on the board? - September 30, 2008, 02:51 PM

What up people. Just wondering if there were any mechanics here on the board that had a shop or were able to get some shop time in? I just towed my car up from miami and needed to work on some things. There's an oil leak on the passenger side of the motor, I believe its the rear main seal ( tranny would have to be dropped to get to this) and I wanted to replace the front wheel bearings. I can help with everything just need to get the car in the air and need the tools.

Anyone????

Will pay and help.

Thanks

and the car is a 92 eagle talon.. awd

DSM = Drive train Soon to Malfunction.

While you have that trans out you might as well put a new first gear and new final drive and diff in it. Cause 10 second launches tend to break those pieces and drive shafts

DSM... yup, you need a lift

I know a few shops, but not any with free lift time. If you need, i got a "big" driveway, and enough jackstands. I even have a open trailer that I've used before in a bind

you don't need a lift. but lift or not, it's a pain in the ass to get the tranny lined up when putting it back in. that's def one of the tighter transverse mount engine bays out there.
