I work with Andrew Corp. I deal with primarily E-911 services. Basically our dept is in charge of making sure we meet FCC requirments for satellite/GPS location of your cellphone when 911 is dialed.

I was kidding. Very few people I know want to work for the telecoms. The cut-throat market and the high pressure don't make them fun to work at. (Or so I've been told.)

That being said....I wouldn't recommend anybody to my current company (Internet service provider). Layoffs are too regular. (I like the commute.....but would move for the same pay/bennies elsewhere.)
