Got this a while back from an old Army dude, he never really told me the story behind it and has since passed. I'm curious about it. Just patches from different cities looks like.. Don't know if they have other meanings.. the back has some more too.

No idea. Over 18 years in the Navy and I don't remember seeing anything like that. Looks foreign. Since most of my visits to foreign lands included large amounts of alcohol resulting in vast portions of my memory missing I'm probably no help.

The pullover isn't a military item. The patches look like they're just tourist souvenirs for places in Austria and Switzerland.

Looks like a late 60s, early 70s anorak style jacket with patches from German/Austrian ski/hiking regions...lots of military personnel in Germany got jackets like that when in the area..
