Anyone ever had vertigo? - December 13, 2011, 09:08 PM

Recent hospital trip and that was my diagnosis.

Way worse than any drunken stupor or sea sickness I've ever experienced.

Fuck that!!

she was diagnosed with vertigo as well, sometimes she will get dizzy and we have to sit her down or she will sometimes just pass out. sorry to hear you got it

Did they give you a cause for the vertigo? Refer you to a specialist?

One of my exes use to have it. She just collapsed in a night club once. It would be a scary experience if it happens while riding though cause from what I hear you loose all bearing.

I got it after a 2 hour boat ride in Maui. It was't terrible, but it lasted about 2 weeks after... just enough to throw me off every so often; that feeling that I was still rocking on a boat. My balance was whacked. Felt like I was recovering from a night of drinking..

I actually have this as well. They put me on a medication that makes me throw up after two hours of it being in my system. For a week straight I would take it at night and go to sleep, wake up two hours later throwing up. Realized it was the medication making me sick and stopped taking it. Its kinda trippy but makes for a fun time if you get bored. LOL

I did pass out in the ambulance ride. But that was because of the stop and go.

Side note. The new belvoir hospital is pretty nice.

i still have it after my big accident in 2006.
It was further compounded when I crashed in 07 and 08.

Matter of fact one eye always felt crossed for almost 3 weeks in the 06 accident.
Currently I can feel it coming on like a few seconds before it hit. It seems that heat brings mine on from what I can tell, and suddent "Shock" movements like when assholes want to tackle me from behind. I get it at least 1 to 3 times a week.

Odd thing is I never get it on the bike unless im sitting still fully leathered up for a long time. Air flow across my face helps to calm it.

Ill have it for life..
not too bad...just get low when you feel it coming on. I squat alot.

Durring weras last 6 hour race i ran 3 hours 10 minutes of it...
Durring the last stink to the flag...I pulled in and everyone was walking to the podium. once there I just lost it.... sat down on the ground while the world blanked out.

Its like this on alot of rides i do... I just get on the ground...the only common factor I can think of is heat or suddent jarring movements.
