Anyone get LASIK done? - April 2, 2009, 02:47 PM

I got back from a visit with my ophthalmologist and found out I am not allowed wearing my contacts anymore. I think it's time for me to get LASIK since I hate wearing glasses. Anyone have this done and have some good info to share about their experience?

I got the custom wavefront lasik done like a year and a half ago.

Best money I ever spent in my entire life.

Do search for lasik on this site... plenty of threads about it.

Lasiiiik!!!

2 days.
My left eye took a bit longer because the suction ring popped off twice so my left eye needed a bit longer to heal.

Had mine done 2 yrs ago by Dr. Boutros, been 20/15 since and no problems. Think it only cost me $4K.

Wow! I have had mine done for 4 - 5 years now and I had the more expensive procedure done because my eyes are too big so they had to use a different machine. I know mine was under $2k at TLC.

yeah after the 10 or so days then you have to keep wearing them for however long the dr tells you... pretty much until surgery I guess depends on astigmatism, near/far sided etc....
