Anyone have this specific CISSP Book they want to let me borrow - March 13, 2012, 01:48 PM

Just got a call from the new head boss. Want to send me to CISSP bootcamp. My Coworkers already have their CISSP and everyone I know lives and dies by this book. Need this specific one. 5th edition. I have a safari account so I have the ability to read it online but would not mind having it in hand when not near the internet. I am scheduled to take the test in June. Bootcamp class is last week in May. Test is June 10.

if you are doing a boot camp, they provide the book for you. Some are even on the ipad now.

The Harris book is a good reference book, if you want to pass get the CISSP for dummies. Make sure you get the latest one.

good luck!

They changed a bunch of the test last August/September. So getting the latest would be a good idea.

And start studying regularly now. It's a huge amount of detailed material.

Good luck with that. I don't have to take it but others here do and we've had quite the revolving door due to the "must have within 6 months" rule. We had a guy take it twice and fail both times last year, leave the company and he was gone long enough that they hired him back a few weeks ago. But yep, he's got 6 months to pass it or he's out the door again...

Yep I know. The bootcamp this time is virtual. So I don't think the book is included. I will find out more information here in the next week. company gave us Safari accounts so the virtual book is on there and the practice exam book that goes with it. I was just looking to have it in hand so I could use it whenever I am not near the net.

I am hoping to pass that bad boy the first time. My two co-workers have theirs and are giving me all the help possible. My job will pay for the first time so I need to make it happen. I plan to start studying it on Monday. Im am in school right now also. Luckily, the class I have is not very discussion based so I don't have to worry too much about that raping of the class and this together.

Bout to study like a mad man. I am hoping that my BS in Computer Science, MS in Engineering Management and CISSP is enough because I plan to never learn again...

Our company keeps us up to day on the 30hrs needed per year and the funding. So that is covered.

That's the more moronic shit I have ever heard.

That's why I like my position. Only IAT level two. Our domain is a separate entity from the rest of the base.

By the way, SxyRdr, they finally filled this position over here.
