Anyone into Archery? Post up your rig!!! - February 1, 2013, 07:50 PM

Anyone into archery? I shoot indoor/3-D and my "new" rig is a Hoyt Pro Comp Elite.

Custom paint, Custom string/cable, GTX cams, SureLoc 550, Pro rest, and Easton stabilizer.

Post up pics of your rig! I had Xtreme Archery in Manassas set it up, great people to work with! I'm shooting it tomorrow in the VA state shoot, only my second time shooting it so, it should be interesting.

I bowhunt, but its with an old a$$ no accessories compound.

Looking to pick one of these new fangled fancy rigs this year.
I just got into working on my own carbon arrow assembly/building and really learning about that.

Looks like you got a nice rig, have fun!

I just got into bow hunting last year. Just looking to extend my season, I shoot a PSE brute X. Shoots great, put a spot Hogg on it, looking for some stabilizer options, and a drop away. Currently shooting a whisker biscuit, ruins my fletching too much even though its not supposed to.

Nice rig.

Shot Hoyts and Dartons back in the day. Was a dealer for Hoyt and Matthews. Spent a lot of time in the rain, snow, and heat from Georgia to New York and west as far as the Mississippi shooting 3D with IBO & ASA. Good times. Haven't been in the game except for hunting for awhile. The last national shoot I attended was back in '04 or '05? Must be having a senior moment, don't recall exactly... Hahaha.

Word to the wise - Take care of your shoulders and don't abuse them. Almost everyone I know that was serious about competition back then has crap shoulders now, myself included.

I hear you on the shoulders! I shoot but dial it back when my shoulders begin to cramp up, mine is only set to 50# so it does not put much stress, i forget the let off but it is pretty good.

I have a long way to go before i am competitive, tons of VERY good pros in this area! Roger Willet Jr. Down in richmond and braden gellenthien here in woodbridge although...lucky for us he is on the world tour.
