Anyone know a butcher? - August 30, 2015, 02:06 PM

Looking to do a pig roast and wanted to know if anyone knows a butcher. I am trying to get a suckling pig roughly 25 - 30 lbs.

Best price I have received so far is $125.

Laurel Meat Market.
Free range farm raised, organic fed pigs.

They usually need 5-7 days advanced notice. Whole or you can have it butchered and processed to your liking. (Sausage, chops, hocks, etc.)

I do a pig roast every year. I go to the grocery store in Eden Center in Seven corners for a suckling pig. We get a 60lb usually.

Oh, forget ... there's also a Dutch / Amish Market in Laurel as well about a mile away from the Meat Market.

Good meats to be found. I've had success with both.

Seriously, it's like going back in time... I've yet to find anything anywhere that rivals Maya's place. You go to the counter and ask for pork chops, they don't have any pre-cut.. "how thick do you want them?" Their kielbasa & andouille is absurd.

ugh, fiending over here now. Thanks.

Lol good memory and comeback though. I laughed
