Re-up on road trips when you pass through the right states. Keep a stockpile.

$700!!?? I guess I could see going that big with a group splitting the costs.

They are not legal in PA either.. Only legal to sell to non residents who will transport out of state. That's why 99% of pa (and ohio) stores are on the border.

One of the best joints around....Stateline Sparkler. Don't let the name fool you, they sell mortars/cakes/etc. Two years ago at Summit during a race weekend, we collected almost $1,000 from racers, drove to Stateline and put on a fireworks show that night that would rival some small town shows.

Stateline Sparkler

They are just over the WVA/VA border on I-81 in Bunker Hill, WV. About an 1:15 minute drive from Sterling. Typically the weekend leading up to July 4th, they do a buy one/get one free sale.

$700 during a BOGO sale will get you a good stock pile. Only catch is you cannot be a WVA state resident and must sign a form stating that you are taking the fireworks back across state lines (which, btw, is quite illegal).

So, I guess I would say, your location might dictate where you go based on driving time/distance. If you're in NoVA, I'd say do Stateline or Gettysburg. If you're in MD, do Gettysburg. Or if you want to double up the stock during a BOGO, hit Stateline.

HAHA didn't know that, but that is awesome. You can buy them here, but you better GTFO before you open them.

I was packing a carry-on bag for a trip to Puerto Rico not too long ago and am VERY glad I looked in a pocket I wasn't even planning on putting anything in because I found a mortar I didn't know I had. A BIG mortar. The kind with a two foot wick. Decided to just save it for the 4th.
