Anyone ride dirt? - April 4, 2009, 05:00 AM

What do you ride and where?

I'm on a YZ-125... Fun bike for hopping around.

I usually head out to California's Mojave desert, which I imagine most of you have never been to. There are a lot of options there, and riding is just about limitless. Hillclimbs, sand washes, rocks, open areas, it's got a lot of everything. There are some spots where you can just ride miles and miles in any direction. Fun place.

What about you guys?

I have a 2008 yz250f that I race in the local hare scramble series. There aren't very many places to ride in northern VA so I usually head south to my home town where we have around 17 miles of trails and a motocross track in a 4 acre field.

I am working on a trail bike conversion that I'll be looking to hit some basic trials on once it's complete. I found a trial just south of Nokesville right off of Rt. 28 I plan to check out. the bike is still a couple weeks from being done.

I have lived in manassas for a year now and I have not seen one place to ride dirt. Am I over looking something? Weekends would also work best for me.
