Anyone try the 300 workout? - April 16, 2007, 05:43 PM

Waiting for my lax season to be over in a week to try and see how long it takes for me to do it.
a) Pullups - 25 reps
b) Deadlifts with 135lbs - 50 reps
c) Pushups - 50 reps
d) 24-inch Box jumps - 50 reps
e) Floor wipers - 50 reps
f) Single-arm Clean-and-Press with 36lbs Kettlebell - 50 reps
g) Pullups - 25 reps

No rest in between doing it as fast as you can. I think the best time was around 18 minutes.

25 pullups would take me about a day! or more!! I don't even know if I can still do a pull up.
Good luck!

I seriously doubt there are many out there that can actually complete this. Holy hell, that is BRUTAL. One word for those who actually try it...puke. Actually two words...respect.

I've been thinking about this workout for a few weeks myself. My current workout includes alternating lifting one day, running the next. I tested myself this last Saturday; ran a mile and a half in 10:17, 55 pushups in a minute, 43 situps in a minute and a 43 sec. 300 meter sprint.

First set of 25 would be ball busting enough. I doubt that I would have enough in the tank for the second set. Can I get a weight brake for being over 250 though...?

HAHAHAHAHHA!

Question though, are the kettle bell presses 25 with each arm? Not that it much matters becuase at that point you are either passed out on the gym floor or looking at the bottom of a trashcan. Just wondering.

well I might actually film me and my buddy trying to attempt this. I would say I am in pretty good shape but this makes me quiver thinking of it. So it should be fun.
Will probably alternate the kettle ball for 25 each arm if I make it there. Oh and the pullups are throw up ones using legs and core.

I've done this, Took about 40 minutes. Pulls were wide grip (almost like lat pull) Had to break them into 3 sets, deadlifts into 5 sets, and box jumps/floor wipes into 2 sets. Bumped the kettlebell up to 50 pounder (25 each arm split into 2 sets) Last 25 pulls were very difficult needed spot all 3 sets.

No No No. They only did that workout once.

"A common misconception is that they did this workout over and over again. Mark Twight isn't in to repeating workouts often with his athletes. In fact, most of the workouts were probably randomzied. They very rarely, if ever, would they do the same workout twice. "

Yeah, If you break it all down into sets and span it out over an entire workout 45 mins- hour its very doable (definitely still an ass kicking - especially the pull ups), but I think if you just try to smash through the entire routine in supersets you will crash hard.
