Lowes and Homedepot sell small pieces for big money. if you need a big piece of it go to a steel shop like Arlington Iron in Manassas. They have a retail area and will give you prices. Also their catalog is online so you can act like you know what you are talking about. Well their catalog used to be online. bitches.

Call BS on the post Henry. They say using a laser will heat up the steel and change its hardness. Bull fucking shit! I used to do this and when done the right way the plate does not even get hot. Rant over. If you guys want plate's made let me know. Or Call K-Form Machine in Sterling,VA. They have a laser to cut the steel fast. Not sure how much though. There is also a place in Chantilly that has a water jet to cut the steel.

Find a machine shop with a water jet. They can cut the steel the cheapest. One in Rockville used to be called AandR engineering. Not sure if that is still the name. Behind the Natural Gas plant. Also you need to make sure what steel you want.

Fine call this place. They can even have it cut for you. Most likely the best price you will find. I use them all the time.
