Reverse engineering and intellectual property violations. Lawsuit assured.

This is a surprise? This is their cash cow, you think they are going to let even a modicum of control slip?

Old story is old.

If you faggots are going to turn this site into Reddit or fucking Gizmodo, please at least be timely.

Personally I approve of ripping off young minds and buttholes.

How's it ripping off? Wireless sync was done on other phones before this guys "invention". My old treo could be set up to do wireless sync.

Just because some dev wrote it and submitted it before Apple baked it into their OS doesn't mean that Apple didn't have plans to put it into the OS at a later date. They are well known for holding features back from hardware/software to get you to buy new hardware/software at a later date with these features.

I don't see why the guy is so butthurt. He made it jailbreak only and made over half a mil off it. Reading the reviews of it it sounds like it wasn't a very good piece of software in the first place.

There are many cases of apps being turned away from the AppStore because they used API's that have not been officially published by Apple. Like I said in another thread, Apple knows the capability is there, they just haven't published it because they plan to make use of it later. The one reason I think this guy has a shot at a lawsuit is because an Apple representative may have alluded to the fact that Apple was impressed with the work meaning that it was better than what they had thought of originally.

And yes...Reddit.net

This.

This is why I was told by legal when I was in product development, if someone outside the company submitted a design or approached me with a concept - say as little as possible to them. Head nods and hmmm's and ahhh's are not admissible in court.
