Makes you wonder why tower computers still exist.

“Any man who tries to be good all the time is bound to come to ruin among the great number who are not good. Hence a Prince who wants to keep his authority must learn how not to be good, and use that knowledge, or refrain from using it, as necessity requires”.

For processing power. You simply cannot get the same performance stuffed in a small Mini as you can in a full size tower.

But for standard (non power) users there's no reason to get a full tower.

Mac Mini + 24" Display = 1750
27" iMac = 1700

27" iMac > Mac Mini

Better HD, Mem, CPU, Screen Size, more upgradable.

Why would you want to get a mac mini?

So you can plug it into your 52" tv and use a wireless keyboard and mouse.

Apple tv not expandable in terms of external drives. And space goes quick. Besides, I like having an actual computer hooked to my 52"

Yeah, I would too, if it were 1/2 the price. $350 would be perfect.

You can hack the apple TV but it's still nothing compared to an actual mini.

Agreed.
And now it has HDMI...anyone want to buy my old one? Works just fine with DVI or VGA outs to a TV...
