Arrest on Pennsylvania by the Capitol - September 22, 2006, 05:41 PM

So it turns out my license is suspended Va decided to not provide me with the paperwork or a letter...

Yea that means you're a criminal in DC. Someone decided that individuals with suspended licences will be arrested, towed, and processed with crack addicts and cuffed to a fucking wall.

They cuffed me to a wall for three hours in a cell with a dude arrested for posession, removed my freedoms, and the desk sergeant actually physically threatened me when I joked about not "projecting" my angst on them. The arresting officer was super cool, said he was really sorry about the unfortunate circumstances but not much he could do.

If the desk sergeant gets shot to fuck tomorrow I'll grin.

Then end.

Yup my license got suspended for a year and I never knew it. All because of a paper work screwup that the court did. If I had gooten pulled over during that time boy what a shit storm and they never sent any paper work saying it!!!

Same thing happened to me. I got locked up also. By the time I finally had my case heard before the court I already had my license back and drove to the hearing. ridiculous. The cop was also empathetic. It's ridiculous.

Uh...yeah, by the time you are hauled in, don't expect the officers to have much of a sense of humor around the jail - at least not with you. Best bet is to shut the hell up and not talk to anyone. ...and don't encourage anyone to talk to you either.

Sorry to hear about the bogus detention though. So...what were you initially pulled over for?

Uh, yeah. Word to the wise, your sh!t betta be legit around the capital. A friend of mine just got hemmed up for pretty much the same circumstance. He was picking up his girl who was visiting from NY. She came out of union station to find him cuffed and being thrown in a car. <--No shit.

From what I understand, capital police doesn't go by the laws of the US. They go by laws of congress or some shit...and supposedly have jurisdiction anywhere. <--just what I've heard.

Sorry to hear about it. Great to see that our police officers are out doing a bang up job of protecting us. Don't even get me started on DC...they are fucking me out of 500 dollars as we speak.

Ben,

Sorry to hear you got fucked by some douchebags. I recommend taking a shit in a bag and mailing it to DC Police Attention Douchbag Desk Jockey.

Here's some advice for your next trip to the "slammer" http://www.bullshitjob.com/officespace/cornhole.wav

Dont know where you got that from. They enforce Federal and District of Columbia law. They are Federal but they wont do much once they are out of D.C. unless its a major felony. They also escort congress members to places in other states.

+1 The only worse thing about an arrest happening within the Federal Triangle
is there is a very good chance it will be Fed. law enforcement Capitol, Park, Secret Service etc and you can find yourself in the Federal system around some pretty smarmy
mo fo's for a piddly traffic offense. That is a shitty way to find out you were suspended
Ben. Please tell me there were no offers of Jelly and tossing of salads, you know with the
ecoli scare and all.
