ATTENTION VA CCW HOLDERS... - March 12, 2007, 03:54 PM

Your name and address has now been published by Mr. Christian Trejbal of the Roanoke Times....

You can read his article here: http://www.roanoke.com/editorials/trejbal/wb/108160

Here is the database:
http://www.roanoke.com/gunpermits/

Now any schmuck who wants to find out who has guns in their neighborhood can now look you up. Please let the Roanoke Times know how you feel.

Keep your stuff locked up when it's not on your hip, your house is now a target, thanks to this list.

Lt. Colonel Grossman - writes in his introduction to The Bulletproof Mind:

One Vietnam veteran, an old retired colonel, once said this to me: "Most of the people in our society are sheep. They are kind, gentle, productive creatures who can only hurt one another by accident."....

"Then there are the wolves," the old war veteran said, "and the wolves feed on the sheep without mercy." Do you believe there are wolves out there who will feed on the flock without mercy? You better believe it. There are evil men in this world and they are capable of evil deeds. The moment you forget that or pretend it is not so, you become a sheep. There is no safety in denial.

"Then there are sheepdogs," he went on, "and I'm a sheepdog. I live to protect the flock and confront the wolf."

Already sent him an email this afternoon.

Its like here's where your more likely to score a weapon to use in a crime if you break into these houses.

I've gotta another rant on this one too. If your an ex-victim of a crime such as rape aquired a CHP license and wanted to keep it on the down-low. Whats to stop the mo'fo's that eventually get out of jail and tracking her ass down again (since now its public knowledge). Not to mention the mental anguish that a victim will go thru yet again because of this information getting released and making someone feel vulnerable.

More crime will come of this because this dumb-ass wanted a story. Not to mention, your private information such as an address of an unlisted person is now public knowledge. I have nothing further to add at this time because its popping off in my head as 4-letter words.

Oh,
If anyone if filling a petition to get this info locked out please post it up!

Journalists make me sick. Why not post the names of criminals instead of the people that are just trying not to be victims?

It has nothing to do with guns being registered. It about having a concealed carry permit. There is no correlation between the two.

They removed the database. Guess they finally realized 'We dun fucked up'.

Does anyone happen to have a copy of the list? Those assholes took it down but it sounds like they may just be correcting it. I found a partial list cached on google but it doesn't have much of the list.

I wonder if they got scared by the Bob Cavalcante post. If so, they are even more retarded than I thought. He doesn't understand the code section that he cited.

Yup, no correlation at all, but this is the reason I decided against the CC class at BlueRidge 4 years ago.

I don't have a reason to CC and I don't like being on lists so I opted out of the class my friends took. But a gun registry can become the same exact thing IMHO its just a matter of time and cirumstance.

What exactly does he not understand. I read that section of the code as a non-disclosure law for victims or witnesses to a crime. If some of the people on the CCW permits list, as some on that thread claimed, the victims of a crime or sexual assault, should they not have the right to protect their identity and location.

That is how I read it, however, I am uncertain as to whether that specifically applies to during the duration of criminal proceedings or if the voluntary action of obtaining a CCW permit invalidates that protection.

I am not claiming you are wrong, just how the statute reads to me.
