Bald Eagle on I95 north bound lanes just before Dumfries road truck scales - September 2, 2009, 08:37 AM

Adult Bald Eagle on I95 north bound lanes just after Dumfries road I95 entrance ramp and before the truck scales standing there between the far right lane and middle lane.
Poor thing was just standing staring at the traffic zooming by.
I almost smacked right into it at 75mph. That would have hurt.
That sucka was huge.

WOW...I was JUST talking to my co-worker YESTERDAY about that same eagle!!!!

we were looking at a hawk flying around, and he was telling me down in Texas how he and his buddies accidently shot one huting for dove's in high school...

I believe the eagle lives in a nest ontop of a crane right in the Occoquan River. Like as you are on I95 South and you are crossing from Fairfax County into PWC you can see him/her sitting atop of the crane. It was aweing to see it the first time. I thought it was a fake bird b/c it was HUGE, and it was just chillling.

I really wonder how it got here and why nobody has tried to catch it to protect it????

What do you value more? Life or Image?

"I don't ride, I usually just sit around wearing a tshirt and my icon back protector and talk shit about anyone who does not have a liter bike. That's how you can pick me out of a crowd. I also wear a red tophat."

Bald eagles were taken off the endangered species list in June of '07. So I guess there are now plenty to go around. In other words, don't feel too bad if you run him over. God bless America, and baby Jesus
