Bar Security staff position available - March 28, 2008, 01:43 PM

Looking for a couple of good sized guys to help work security a bar in downtown Georgetown. Crowd is non-violent Georgetown and college students.

Payments are in cash and depend on experience but are no less than $16/hr with a free dinner.

Thanks.

Ahhhh, I worked for my wife's cousins awhile in Adams Morgan, what a blast. Did it for the fun and to meet people when I moved there. My wife would come and drink more than I got paid, ahahahahaa. Too fun!!! and you get paid for it.

We ALL mess with drunken hoes at one time or another It's the guys that are no fun ;(

Can't choose between the R1 and the 10R so I am keeping both but settled with an 1198S when I came home

I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night........

free bump. looks like a pretty cool gig if the mngmnt is laid back and into a stress free security set up. Free food rocks, too.

is there a size requirement? Would you guys rather have customer oriented safety aware people or mountains of ass-kicking intimidation to scare the patrons into submission?

Ass kicking intimidation works best I think. Keeps the part time hooligans in place. Plus when the sht hits the fan a talker is not the best guy to have your back. Just my .02

And I stayed at a Hilton last night Bhwhwhwhahaha.

The "good sized" part is primarily to control the crowd. I am sure there are some medium and smaller statured guys/gals that can open a royal can of whoop ass on the biggest of guys. That being said, it is advantagous to have larger people to see over the crowd, make your way through the crowd, and sometimes intimidate the crowd. I am not looking for meatheads and brawlers. The current staff is mostly comprised of professional and career oriented fathers and husbands that just want to eat dinner, do their job, and go home with cash in their pocket. I want people that want to fight as absolutely little as possible and if you are smart, in a Georgetown bar, you should never have to fight.

I have gotten a bunch of emails and will get back to you in turn. Thanks for the replies so far.

Damn, if only I was back in town.

Hahhaa, my old buddy loved to bounce seeing he loved to beat people up. That worked years ago, but now a days that's a liability that most places can't have.

I agree with ya, you should never have to get physical in GTown. Being from NY, I was really suprised how well behaved the folks are down in DC/VA!! Tell them No and they listen, not even a "Who the fk do you think you are"!! Good people all around that area!!
