Baseball Card Appraiser - where? - October 2, 2008, 11:36 AM

Hey I got a pretty good collection of baseball cards and have been looking for an appraiser/dealer/buyer for some or all of them.

Just from my basic knowledge of cards and their worth, I'd say I'm sitting on about $2-3k worth.

few things I have:

Roberto Clemente at the Apollo Grounds

Triple Threat (Jose Canseco, Mark Mcquire(sp), and uh...the other guy) when they used to play for the A's

I have the complete team set of the Atlanta Braves, 1990 (when Dieon Sanders was playing)..or was it '99? Either way...I got it.

I have the complete team set of the Minnesota Twins....again either '90 or '99...when Kirby Puckett was still alive

I have a signed card by Mark Heath (catcher for the A's) not sure of the date.

I have a bunch of Don Russ, Fleer, Upper Deck, Revco, even have some that are painted instead of an actual picture.....etc etc....and all still smell like bubble gum = mint condition

Bad news though, baseball cards went out more than a decade ago. You have a lot of good kindling and thats about it.

At the peak my collection was probably worth 5K, today, maybe a C note.

I used to work with a guy...real squirrelly dude. Kinda social awkward, but an alright guy once you got to know him. Anyways...he was like a f*cking almanac when it came to sports. Baseball was his forte (followed closely by football). I mean this guy knew stats, facts, and figures from every single decade. He could tell you who pitched in what game and whose ERA was what and how many RBIs so and so had in what year before they were traded to what team. He was like Rainman of MLB.
