Basically I got a 2 weeks notice - March 23, 2006, 02:25 PM

My boss is going on "detail" which, in the government, means "I hate my boss (the director) so I'm going somewhere else while I look for a new job". This means that the director will spitefully dismantle our team and use the money on pens with the neat PDA option with our logo printed on them.

I need a job, he hasn't told her yet but he arranged his detail to start Monday and she is going to be PISSED... she will most likely fire me on the spot but I'm hoping that I can stay under the radar for a couple of weeks while I fish around. Prepping my resume and can ship it to people tomorrow if you have anything.

I interface with customers constantly. Originally started as a Network Admin doing desktop and SKIFF/Server work. I have worked with Tivoli, Netapp, EMC SANs, I am also skilled in Fiber and Ethernet. My job for the last two years has been dealing with Continuity of Operations Planning, Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery, Emergency Planning, Quality Assurance, Change Management, Certification and Accredidation for IT systems, Policy work...

If you know anyone who needs someone like me, I can either do or learn anything...

EDIT: I hold a Top Secret Clearance

Thanks for any help.

Is it coincidental that French anarchists are fighting for job security for people our age in France?

Sorry to hear this.

That sounds pretty harsh that you get nailed for you manager having issues with their superior...(I may be misunderstanding this - then again I've never worked for gov.)

Best of luck being the gray guy and laying low. Hope you get something lined up quickly.

Find a local headhunter firm. With a TSC you should have a number of interviews in a few days.

PM DT...he deals with placement and your credentials would easily allow you to fill several positions. His screen name is "DT"

Good luck...you'll find something better I'm sure!
