Beltway bike club stunting on 12/27/15? - December 28, 2015, 01:01 PM

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...the-wrong-way/

I can't imagine slowing traffic down when I'm on a motorcycle. It goes against everything I stand for on the roads (getting from A to B, quickly and under the radar).

They are asshats. Find a place to have your fun, but don't:
  • Stop people from getting home to see their families in a timely manner.
  • Stop emergency vehicles (fire trucks, ambulances, etc.) from saving lives or property.
  • Make people waste fuel idling while you are having your fun.
  • Potentially cause accidents as folks expecting a moving interstate on a Sunday afternoon to rear end stopped cars.
  • Cause a motorcyclist that isn't even a part of your little parade to be rear ended and killed.
  • Leave dogs waiting for their owners to let them out.
  • Etc.

Rant over.

Retards that give all sport bike riders a bad name. Fuck them, and I respectively hope they all die in a fire.

As compared to cars and trucks shutting down the beltway everyday twice a day. Oh the horror!

This is a valid point. If only 10% of the population rode regularly there'd be no traffic. Even at 5pm on the beltway.

Nope. Around here traffic would fill back in. It would be temporary at best. Just like the first week or two after school starts or congress comes back into session is always a disaster, then people start adjusting.

10% might actually help, but 1% wouldn't do much.

Yeah that 10% was an actual estimate on one of the studies but it was a few years ago. Now it's probably more like 12%
