Best Deals on Samsung Galaxy S3? - November 18, 2012, 04:44 PM

My HTC Evo is finally taking a shyt after 2 1/2 years so I'm shopping for a SGS3. Apparently I've missed the great deals by a couple weeks and the cheapest I can find it for now is $149.99. I've seen it for sale for $49.99 and $99.99. Do any techies here know where I can pick one up for the the lower prices? I've been hunting around for a couple days for Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals but I haven't found anything solid.

Sam's Club will have it for $0.97 on BF

If you shop at Walmart:
  • $100 Walmart Gift Card for every Android smartphone purchase (with new two-year contract) offer valid from from November 23 through December 1
  • $129 Samsung Galaxy S3 with new two-year contract
Making the phone $29

Radioshack on BF - $49.99

BestBuy on BF - $49.99

Amazon will more than likely match one of the retailers on that day or CM.

Who is your provider? I got a deal on mine from amazon wireless. Got the red one from at&t for $79 where they wanted $299 at the store. Either way you go, you will be happy with the Galaxy S3. I know I'm happy with mine.

Sprint, judging from "HTC EVO".

Nice! I'm trying not to go out on BF if I can avoid it so I'm gonna look into the Walmart deal. Thanks Bryant.

Sprint, like RD said. Good to hear, I've read almost nothing but good things about it.

Have you looked into the iPhone 5? The maps on it are AMAZING!

Cost of the phone is almost inconsequential compared to cost of your phone plan.

Who cares if you save $100 when you get locked into a contact that milks you for $500 more than some other provider.

I wonder if any of the no-contract providers let people get the S3. You may pay $600-ish up front, but you will still save money over the 2 year contract.

Speaking of Samsung, does anyone know why someone would "like" them on Facebook?

Do you get some coupon or discount for it?

Depends where you are located. In the United States, you will not be able to get it for less than about $200. Maybe cheaper in the UK.

I did some calculations not too long ago, and paying full price amount on the phone, while being able to use the lower cost plans (Tmobile) was about $250 cheaper than getting the phone at a discount.

The cost of the phone and plans on the other top 3 ranged from an additional $100 to $500 for a comparative phone and plan!

I can see that but I'd be concerned at who I'd contact in the event of a problem. While there might be a decent savings, I'm not comfortable trying it out just to save $8-9/month.

right now best price I've found on upgrade is $99 @ radio shack.
If you want to keep you number that is the cheapest way to stay with sprint. If you hop carriers you can probably get it for cheaper at prices listed above, but then you'll likely pay more per month
